The complaints register keeps every complaint in one place: who complained, what about, who is handling it and what was done. Nothing gets lost between the front desk and the principal's office. The front desk and principal can register and update complaints by default.

Steps

  1. Open Front office > Complaints. The list shows complaints with their status.
  2. Click Register complaint. Choose Complainant is a (Parent, Staff member, Student or Other) and enter the Complainant name.
  3. Describe it. Add the Phone, the Type (for example transport, fees, teacher, cleanliness) and write the Complaint itself.
  4. Assign it. In Assigned to, choose the staff login who will handle it, for example the coordinator. Leave it as None if you will decide later.
  5. Save. The complaint starts as Open.
  6. Update it as you work on it. Open the complaint, set the Status to In progress or Resolved, and write the Action taken.

Find complaints

Search by name or by words in the complaint text, and filter by status to see what is still open.

Complaint types

The principal can add your school's usual complaint types in Settings > Front office under Complaint types, or click Add common defaults. The form suggests them, and you can still type something else.

Tip

Write the Action taken in plain words before you mark a complaint Resolved. If the same parent complains again, the history shows what was promised last time.
