The phone call log is the front desk's record of calls received and made: who called, why, and whether someone must call back. It replaces the call diary next to the school phone. The front desk and principal can use it by default.

Steps

  1. Open Front office > Phone calls. The list shows the latest calls first.
  2. Click Log a call. Choose the Direction: Incoming or Outgoing.
  3. Fill in the call. Enter the Name and Phone of the caller, the Purpose, a Follow-up date if someone must call back, and any Notes.
  4. Save. The call appears in the log with the time it was recorded.
  5. Find a call later. Search by name, phone or purpose, or filter All calls, Incoming or Outgoing. Click a call to edit it.

Calls about admission

If the call is a parent asking about admission, record it as an admission enquiry instead. Enquiries have a full follow-up history, a "who to call today" list and can be turned into an admission. See admission enquiries.

Tip

Add your common call purposes (fee query, transport, leave, complaint) in Settings > Front office. The form then suggests them as you type.
